Gorgeous building! Staff are really welcoming and so friendly with our dog too! We had a latte and a flat white with a toasted tea cake and cheese and ham toastie which came with a generous portion of ‘real’ crisps and ‘real’ coleslaw. I’ve already recommended this place to my coffee loving friends.

My wife and baby visited here for afternoon tea as a belated Mothers' Day celebration. Situated in Shipley Country Park, Barefeet Lodge is only 10 mins walk from the reservoir car park. The sandwiches were simple and tasty. The desserts were an interesting mix of rocky road, brownies, butterfly cakes and of course, scones. These were all pleasantly surprising, not sickly sweet, and all of plentiful quantity. We elected to have coffee in the absence of any available loose leaf tea. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Gemma, the proprietor, was responsive to my text messages when enquired about booking. People were supportive when we moved the furniture to accommodate our pram. The tea room itself had quirky period pieces of furniture, and was cosy and quaint. We understand that a log fire operates in the winter time (we visited in summer, and it remained cool). We had superb views of the western aspect of the park. In summary, this was an excellent value afternoon tea, situated in a lovely setting just outside Derby city. We would thoroughly recommend!

Beautiful historical building in a stunning location. Lovely to sit in the garden at one of the many picnic tables when the sun is out. Looks lovely to sit inside too, and we are so looking forward to cosying up indoors when the weather turns! Really friendly staff, who were so welcoming to us and our little dog. They do the BEST sausage and bacon rolls, and the full English is incredible too. Absolutely delicious food. I'm excited to visit again and sample more of the wonderful menu, especially some of their stunning cakes! Our dog even had her very own "pupcake" made with pet safe ingredients, and topped with a doggy biscuit! It's so lovely to see somewhere which is so welcoming to dogs. They really go above and beyond for our furry friends! The scenery is beautiful, right in the edge of gorgeously woodlands and is visited by many wild birds and squirrel. We can't wait to visit again!

Lovely little tea room offering a great choice of food for it's small size so don't be deceived. Proper bacon sandwich with generous amount of bacon and great coffee. A nice selection of brownies and scones on offer too (I had the biscoff brownie ). It isn't too far a walk from the main carpark. Seating is limited inside but there is some seating outside too. Decent time to wait for food orders even when it was busy. All in all definitely recommend dropping by if walking through Shipley park

Cafe in the middle of Shipley Park. Serves coffees, tea, pastries (the brownies are decadent and the cherry Bakewell slice is fabulous!) and light lunches. Perfect for a break as you walk the many paths of the park. Don’t miss it!

Nice quirky tearooms with indoor and outdoor seating. Also dog friendly. Really nice and friendly service. Great quality food at a very reasonable price. We all had breakfasts, ranging from bacon cobs through to a full breakfast and it was all delicious. The cakes looked good too! Hots drinks were all good, and I particularly liked my tea being served in a pot. It's a nice touch, and the tea was excellent too! We will definitely be back.

Great little tea room in Shipley Park. Previously a gatehouse for Shipley Hall. Food all fresh and reasonably priced served by lovely staff.

Lovely breakfast this morning, after our long walk. We will definitely be back and if you are in the park you really must drop in. The cakes looked delicious but that is for another day.
